About
Masjid DarusSalam is a large (87,000 square feet of building space) masjid and Islamic community center in Lombard. The local Muslim community, through the DarusSalam Foundation, purchased the 6.5 acre land parcel that would be the future site of the Masjid in 2007, and construction of the Masjid was completed in 2013. Β In 2015, the community purchased an additional 3.5-acre parcel of land to expand parking capabilities to accommodate up to 400 vehicles. In 2021, the community completed construction of their Islamic Seminary Campus (https://masjidds.org/masjid/about-us/).
The DausSalam Seminary is an Islamic school that teachesΒ βtraditional Islamic sciencesβ, from the grade school level and Sunday school programs, to a seven year academic program called the "TakmΔ«l program" intended toΒ ββ¦educate the next generation of scholars, lecturers, researchers, thinkers, and academicsβ in the study of Islam (https://masjidds.org/seminary/alim-course/). The main building is the masjid, which hosts regular prayer services throughout the day and week, but the communityβs campus also includes twenty classrooms, multiple large libraries of Islamic writings and books, a banquet hall, a facility for funerals, and a full-sized gymnasium and fitness center. In addition to prayer services, the community hosts regular speakers and seminars, as well as large community gatherings and observances of major Islamic religious holidays.

Beautiful masjid with a welcoming community. The imam gives thoughtful khutbahs and the facilities are well maintained. Prayer spaces are clean and spacious. Recommended this to all my friends.
